iFLY Indoor Skydiving • July 2017 - August 2018
As Marketing Specialist, my role predominantly touched three areas: brand strategy, content creation, and social media management.
My day-to-day involved community management and content creation for social media (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube); management of paid media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram; copywriting for any and all marketing materials including print, web, social, email, and digital displays; design collaboration for creative executions; live promotion during events; and external communication with brand and agency partners.
I was responsible for our content strategy and all organic and paid efforts. I shifted our focus to creating video content in order to create the iFLY narrative and better explain the experience to audiences. Here are a few content pieces I helped bring to life:
In addition to creating video content, I became the company's first in-house copywriter, penning everything from small, one-off marketing materials to large brand campaigns across mediums. Here, you can see a few examples of my work and my ability to speak to multiple audiences:
These same screenshots of social ads were the result of iFLY's Summer 2018 brand campaign. Armed with a budget of $280k and the instructions to create an audience unlike one we have ever marketed to before, I created four different campaigns from scratch. Within a few days of the go-live date, the ads had already achieved virality, and website visits and conversions were up exponentially.
In summary? I was responsible for the iFLY brand image. From curating Instagram feeds to nailing down a unique tone for each of our audiences to working with videographers to create the perfect content, I touched nearly every piece of marketing material that iFLY published from the stages of infancy through execution and post-run reporting.
